Alison Geesey-Lagan

Alison Geesey Lagan currently serves as Director of Choirs at Parkland High School in Allentown, PA, where she oversees five choirs and teaches AP Music Theory. She has taught choral, vocal, and general music in Pennsylvania and Michigan, serving students in grades 3-12. Alison is active in the community as an educator, conductor, and clinician. In addition to choral music and singing, she also holds a strong passion for vocal health; her experiences with vocal health as a classroom teacher have led to invitations to present sessions for educators and performers across the country, including state music conferences in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Florida. She holds a master’s degree in choral conducting from Michigan State University (2019), as well as a master's degree in music theory and a bachelor's degree in music education from Penn State University (2014). Within mirabai, Alison serves as the director of the mirabai Young Women Scholars program for aspiring female conductors, working with high school women from across the country each summer to provide early opportunities for exposure to choral conducting and leadership. Alison resides in Macungie, Pennsylvania, with her husband (Brennan), their goldendoodle (Ringo), and their mischievous cat (Paul).
